Welcome to the resource page for Indigenous communities and partners! Here you will find resources, updates and news for Indigenous communities, organizations, and peoples wanting to learn more about or address issues around invasive species.
Invasive species can have negative impacts on our economy, health, and environment; and can have adverse impacts on important cultural practices, such as harvesting traditional foods and medicines and hunting. Through collaboration with the Indigenous Invasive Species Network, the ISCBC aims to develop and provide culturally informed resources that are relevant and useful to Indigenous communities and anyone wanting more information.
ISCBC produces a variety of publications for Indigenous communities ranging from materials for educators to community toolkits.
The Indigenous Invasive Species Network (IISN) co-ordinates meetings and communications between Indigenous Communities and organizations in BC. Join today for free.
