What is Invasive Species Action Month
Every May, Invasive Species Action Month (ISAM) brings people across Canada together to raise awareness and take action against invasive species.
Led nationally by Invasives Canada and coordinated in British Columbia by ISCBC, ISAM highlights the impacts invasive species can have on ecosystems, economies, cultural practices, and everyday activities, while empowering people to take practical action in their own communities.
This yearโs theme, Do It Yourself. Stop Invasives Together., highlights the power of simple individual actions. When people take practical InvasiveWise steps in their daily lives, those efforts add up to meaningful collective impact.
Whether you are cleaning your gear, planting wisely, learning to identify invasive species, or joining local stewardship efforts, everyone has a role to play.
