Grow me instead of Daphne (Spurge-Laurel)

Tall Oregon grape is a native shrub with glossy, leathery, holly-like leaves that turn from deep green to bright red in the fall. Early spring flowers are bright yellow and appear on spikes, followed by masses of pale blue berries that are loved by birds and excellent in jams. Tall Oregon grape is drought and moisture tolerant. It is happiest when planted in full sun or dappled shade.

When selecting non-invasive plants for your garden, be sure to look for those that are suitable for your location, including moisture requirements, hardiness zone, and avoidance of known bear attractants among other factors.
