Grow me instead of English holly

Meserve holly is an evergreen tree growing to 3 m tall. There are female and male versions of this tree. They both have shiny, spiky, blue-green leaves but only the females have small white flowers that bloom in May, followed by glossy, red berries in the fall. The berries are very attractive to birds. Meserve holly grows best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils and can be used as a hedge or specimen plant.

When selecting non-invasive plants for your garden, be sure to look for those that are suitable for your location, including moisture requirements, hardiness zone, and avoidance of known bear attractants among other factors.
