Published: February 19, 2021

The New Brunswick Invasive Species Council will host its first ever Invasive Species Summit on February 24 and 25. The event will bring together stakeholders from across the province and country to share knowledge and increase collaboration around invasive species management in New Brunswick. Designed to be heavily interactive, the virtual event will focus on invasive species policy, outreach & education, advancements in the field, reporting & mapping and more.

ISCBC’s Director of Programs & Communications, Danielle Toperczer, will be presenting on the success of ISCBC’s behaviour change programs, the youth volunteer program and future aspirations in the Outreach and Education Panel on day one of the Summit. ISCBC’s Youth Program Coordinator, Serena Bonneville, will join to highlight the positive impact of the youth volunteer program, and how it has empowered the next generation of community service leaders to take action against the spread of invasive species and become invested in the health of their local communities and habitats.
