She will also dive into how easy it is to accidently or unknowingly spread invasive species and provide several simple steps that all anglers can do to stop the introduction and spread of invasive species. Meet the Speaker

Cassidy Patton
Outreach Lead, Invasive Species Council of BC

Cassidy is the Outreach Lead with the Invasive Species Council of BC, where she helps to lead the InvasiveWise Tourism programs. She attended the University of Victoria where she graduated with a BSc. in biology, and a diploma in the Restoration of Natural Systems. Cassidy has spent most of her spring and summer seasons participating in exciting research and field work. In her spare time, you can find her flyfishing Vancouver Island’s expansive river systems, and hiking with her friends and family.
