Native to Japan, Birchleaf spirea is a deciduous shrub with green ribbed foliage and showy white clusters of flowers in the spring. In the fall months, its peeling bark and orange-yellow leaves provide seasonal interest. A very compact shrub, Bircheaf spirea can grow up to 90 cm tall and forms a mounding shape. Birchleaf spirea prefers full sun to part shade and moist, well-drained soils. This is a great, tidy little shrub perfect for small yards and gardens.
