Need your Pesticide Applicator Certification?
ISCBC is offering a virtual Pesticide Applicator Certification Course April 16 – 18, 2024 (10 AM-12:00 PM plus office hours). This online, instructor-led virtual program includes self study, activities, support sessions with experienced trainers and calibration demonstrations. This course will introduce you to Integrated Pest Management, legislation around invasive species in BC and how to work safely with pesticides and the equipment used to apply them.
By the end of this course, you will:
- be prepared to write the 3-hour government exam
- have a foundational understanding of the legal requirements for the use of pesticides in BC
- understand how pesticides are only one tool in the fight against invasive species
- be able to do the calculations necessary for applying pesticides at the correct label rates
- understand the purpose and use of personal protective equipment
- understand how to protect the environment and the public while using pesticides
