Leveraging Invasive Species Action Month in Your Community
Each year, the province of British Columbia proclaims May as ‘Invasive Species Action Month’ (ISAM) to raise awareness of invasive species and to encourage the public to take action. Invasive species threaten BC’s environment, economy, society, and human health. But if we act now, we can prevent, detect and manage their spread.
We encourage organizations, governments and individuals to share information and plan events to engage British Columbians and inspire our communities to get involved and make a difference throughout the month of May!
To help you leverage ISAM in your community, ISCBC has developed the ISAM Partner Toolkit. The Toolkit contains:
- ISAM communications plan
- ISAM branded resources, including logos and social media banners
- Invasive species resources
