Focusing in on invasive species: a photographic journey

Overview: Join ISCBC research staff to learn more about photographing invasive species. Learn how to use these great photographs to report invasive species so that you can contribute to science in your community!

About the presenter: Nick Wong, ISCBC’s project coordinator, has diverse experience working in the Pacific salmon and herring fisheries in BC, consulting and quality assurance and has a PhD in Marine Ecology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Nick has been extensively involved in the coordinated response to the Japanese beetle invasion in Vancouver, helping with facilitation, outreach and education. He is passionate about photography and helping people learn about the role they can play in preventing the spread of invasive species.
