Our Membership Structure is Changing

Following recent changes in the Societies Act and the ISCBC bylaws, our membership structure is changing from a lifetime membership to an annual membership fee structure. Membership applications* can be received throughout the term and the new 2018 membership term will expire in February 2019. The full 2018 ISCBC Membership package will be officially launched to the public in late November 2017.

About ISCBC’s New Membership Structure

ISCBC’s new 2018 membership has two membership categories: 

  • Community Membership - for individuals
  • Organizational Membership - for businesses, government and non-profits

Community Membership

Three types of Community Membership are available:

  • Individual - aged 19 - 64 years of age - $40 per year
  • Senior - aged 65 years of age and above - $20 per year
  • Youth (non-voting) - under 19 years of age - $20 per year

As a Community Member you benefit from:

  • An informative monthly E-newsletter on hot topics, programs, job opportunities, new webinars  and much more
  • Opportunity to vote** at Annual General Meeting (not applicable to youth members) and ability to provide input on key strategic priorities for BC
  • Discount on special ISCBC events (e.g. Invasives Forum)
  • ***Up to 5 free copies of ISCBC general resources annually
  • Training course discounts (e.g. pesticide applicator certificate)

Organizational Membership

Three types of Organizational Membership are available: 

  • Non-profit - $100 per year for up to two named members
  • Business - $250 per year for up to four named members
  • Government - $250 per year for up to four named members

As an Organizational Member you benefit from:

  • An informative monthly E-newsletter on hot topics, programs, job opportunities, new webinars  and much more
  • Opportunity to vote** at Annual General Meeting and ability to provide input on key strategic priorities for BC
  • Discount on special ISCBC events (e.g. Invasives Forum) for named members
  • ***Up to 5 free copies of ISCBC general resources annually
  • An ISCBC Organizational membership decal, banner ad with link on the ISCBC membership website, and an email introduction through our broad email distribution list for your organization to all ISCBC’s e-news subscribers

**In order to be eligible to vote in the 2018 Annual General Meeting, membership must be current and in good standing by January 8th, 2018
